Here are the five temptation secrets you need to know to overcome temptations.
1. What Is Temptation?
Temptation is the [forceful] push (passion) to engage in something sinful.
2. What Causes Temptation?
The devil is the tempter that uses all his resources to lure people into sin. (Matthew 4:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 3:4-6)
3. Does the Holy Spirit Stop Temptations?
The Holy Spirit does not specialize in stopping temptation(s).
The Holy Spirit empowers people to know sinful acts so that God’s children can choose to defeat temptations. (John 14:26)
4. What Is the Best Way to Overcome Temptation?
The key to defeating (overcoming) temptations is to say NO whenever temptations knock on your door. (Matthew 4:1-20; Revelation 3:20)
